OUR OFFERINGS

Biological Dentistry

When you’re working toward better health, it can be helpful to begin with the mouth, a place that often reflects and influences the rest of the body. Ongoing sources of inflammation or toxicity, such as metal restorations, chronic gum inflammation, decay, or unresolved infections, can place a continual burden on your system and make true healing more difficult.

Our approach looks at dental care through the broader lens of whole-body health. By blending principles of biological dentistry, functional medicine, and health optimization, we aim to support your body rather than overwhelm it. We are intentional about using advanced technology and carefully selected biocompatible materials, understanding that anything incompatible with your biology has the potential to interfere with long-term wellness.

Airway Care

When appropriate, we incorporate lab testing to better understand nutritional needs, systemic stressors, and individual predispositions. This allows care to be tailored to you, not generalized. Thoughtful nutritional guidance, along with supportive health optimization strategies, is offered before and after treatment to help create the conditions your body needs to heal and recover.

If you’re curious how your oral health may be influencing your overall well-being, we invite you to explore that connection at your own pace. Our role is simply to provide clarity, options, and support as you decide what feels most aligned with your health goals.

If your child is experiencing challenges such as bedwetting, chronic snoring, or difficulty focusing in school, you’re not alone, and you’re not imagining things. For some children, these concerns can be connected to how they breathe and sleep, both of which play an important role in growth, development, and daily well-being.

Many families share that they’ve spent years searching for clarity, often being reassured to “wait and see,” while their instincts told them something more was going on. We understand how exhausting and discouraging that can feel. Our approach is different. Rather than focusing only on isolated symptoms, we take time to look at the whole child and how breathing, sleep, and development are connected.

When airway health is supported and breathing improves, families often notice meaningful changes, not just in sleep, but in behavior, learning, and overall quality of life. Our role is to listen, to help uncover potential root causes, and to walk alongside you as you decide what feels right for your child and your family.

Services

  • When a tooth is lost, a dental implant may be a thoughtful way to restore function, appearance, and long-term stability. Our approach begins with what matters most to you: supporting your body with materials that are safe, biocompatible, and designed to age well over time.

For many patients, ceramic implants align beautifully with these values. Made from a bio-inert, hypoallergenic material, ceramic implants do not corrode, conduct electrical currents, or trigger inflammatory responses. Their white color allows for natural, lifelike aesthetics, while their strength and stability support healthy bone and surrounding tissues. Ceramic surfaces also tend to resist plaque and biofilm more than metal, encouraging a healthier environment in the mouth.

If you’re exploring options for tooth replacement and want to understand whether ceramic implants may be right for you, we invite you to begin a conversation centered on your health, your goals, and your long-term well-being.

  • Biological surgery is a refined, intentional approach that honors the body’s innate intelligence and capacity to heal. Rather than forcing outcomes, it begins by thoughtfully preparing the body, creating the conditions necessary for regeneration and long-term stability. This preparation is not incidental, it is foundational to meaningful healing.

Equally important is the experience and philosophy of the provider. Biological surgical care requires advanced training, clinical precision, and a deep understanding of how oral health influences the entire body. Through comprehensive diagnostics, including high-resolution 3D CBCT imaging and advanced visualization, each treatment is guided by a clear and individualized understanding of anatomy and biology.

Surgical techniques are performed with exceptional care, prioritizing minimally traumatic tooth removal and meticulous cleansing of infected bone to preserve healthy tissue. Adjunctive therapies such as dental ozone and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), along with carefully selected biocompatible regenerative materials, are integrated to support the body’s natural healing processes. The goal is not simply to manage symptoms, but to address underlying causes, allowing healing to unfold in a way that supports both oral and whole-body wellness.

  • Dr. Humphrey and his team have created a thoughtful, gentle environment to care for infants and young children. As a father of three, Dr. Humphrey understands how tender and overwhelming these early days can feel, and he approaches each family with patience, respect, and care. Our role is to walk alongside you as you explore whether an evaluation and treatment for restrictive oral tissues, such as a tongue tie or lip tie, may be helpful for your child.

Approximately 10% of newborns are born with a short lingual frenulum, a connective tissue attachment under the tongue that did not fully separate during development. For some families, this can contribute to feeding challenges, discomfort for mothers, sleep concerns, or issues with growth and development. When feeding concerns are present, we always encourage beginning with a comprehensive feeding assessment by the appropriate specialist, recognizing that collaboration is often the most supportive path forward.

Decisions about treatment are guided by function and symptoms, not appearance alone. Some ties that appear obvious may cause little concern, while others that are less visible can significantly impact feeding and comfort. Dr. Humphrey takes time to carefully consider the full picture of your child’s health, your family’s experience, and your goals before offering guidance. Every family arrives with a unique story, and recommendations are shared with intention, transparency, and care. We believe deeply in informed consent and in supporting families as they make decisions grounded in understanding, not fear. Our hope is simply to provide clarity, support, and space for you to choose what feels right for your child and your family.

  • Collaborative Care—For optimal results, we always recommend a team approach to care. We partner with lactation consultants, infant feeding specialists and other appropriate specialized providers to support optimal outcomes. Dr. Humphrey strongly believes that the best outcomes are the result of collaborative care, with each provider bringing a unique perspective and skill set.

Comprehensive Evaluation—Dr. Humphrey will spend time completing a thorough evaluation to identify tongue and/or lip ties and correlate them to functional concerns and symptoms. This extensive assessment will take into account everything from the birth experience, breastfeeding/bottle feeding issues, physical concerns, breathing, emotional needs, and oral development. From this co-discovery evaluation we will create a plan for care moving forward.

Precise & Compassionate Treatment—If it is determined that there is potential benefit for treatment of symptomatic oral ties (lip and Tongue ties) and you are prepared to move forward with care, we use a non-contact laser to complete a gentle release of the restrictive tissues. This treatment is gentle and quick, and performed with a topical anesthetic that is custom-formulated for infant care. Conservative treatment with optimum results is the goal, allowing for proper healing and improvements in feeding. We have thought through each step of the process to create a calm atmosphere for treatment and postoperative feeding.

  • Are you a parent of a child who struggles with issues such as crowded teeth, mouth breathing, snoring, bed wetting, non-restful sleep, and difficulty concentrating during the day? Have you and your healthcare team been chasing symptoms?

  • Dentistry has used a variety of metals over the years, including mercury, which is one of the most toxic substances known. Because your health and safety come first, Dr. Humphrey has completed advanced training and is SMART (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) certified through the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. This certification reflects a deep commitment to protecting you during every step of care.

According to the IAOMT, approximately 60% of the U.S. population may be susceptible to adverse effects from mercury exposure associated with dental amalgam fillings. For this reason, we follow strict safety protocols when removing these materials, ensuring both you and our team are protected. These precautions are not optional for us, they are an essential part of caring for you as a whole person.

  • Ozone is a gentle, non-invasive therapy we use to support your body’s natural ability to heal and protect itself. It can help prevent dental disease, reduce harmful bacteria, and support healthier outcomes, all without harsh chemicals or aggressive treatments. Ozone is a highly energized form of oxygen. While the oxygen we breathe is O₂, ozone is O₃, meaning it carries an extra oxygen molecule. When ozone is applied as a gas, in water, or infused into oils, it naturally releases this extra oxygen, disrupting harmful microbes while remaining safe for healthy human cells. This allows us to work in harmony with your body rather than against it.

Because of its powerful yet gentle properties, ozone can be thoughtfully integrated into many areas of your care to support better healing and long-term oral health.

  • From small fillings to crowns and dental implants, our focus is on helping you choose materials that feel right for your body and your long-term health. Because every person is unique, we approach material selection with care and intention, taking your individual needs and body chemistry into account.

When you work with us, we guide you through available biocompatibility testing so dental materials can be chosen with clarity and confidence, minimizing the potential for unwanted reactions. We are mindful to avoid materials known to be harmful, such as mercury, and we carefully evaluate even commonly used dental products, recognizing that what works well for one person may not be ideal for another. Our goal is to support your body, not challenge it, so your care feels aligned, safe, and thoughtfully personalized.
